Sweet"art" Fun Fest:  February 13th, art lessons for 4-7 year olds from 10-11am, 8-18 from 11am-1pm, Space is limited, pre-registration required.

Computer Basics for Adults:  February 20th, 10:30 am, please pre-register.

Youth Book Club:  Thursdays at 6:30, drop-ins welcome, now reading The Lightning Thief.

BRIEF HISTORY

of

 Maple Park Public Library District

(located approximately 60 miles west of Chicago, Illinois)

 In June of 1963 a group of citizens interested in establishing a library met to form the Maple Park Library Association...consisting of Mrs. Julius Anderson,    Mrs. Martin Strausberger, Mrs. Robert Newton, Mr. Robert Weston, Mr. Burdett Campbell, Dr. Edward Hannan and Miss Lou Darling...

 Maple Park Public Library District was established in 1998. The district encompasses the Village of Maple Park, Heritage Hills, Settlement, Squires crossing Subdivisions, Virgil Township west of Meredith Road, east of County Line Road, north of Route 38 and south of Route 64.

 If  you are unsure if you reside in the library district your, voter registration card and your tax bill tell if you reside within the library district, or just stop by the library.

 If you do not  reside within the library district you may be able to obtain a card at the Maple Park Library for $75.00/yearly

If you own property and pay taxes on it, within the library district, but do not live on it you are able to obtain a library card at no charge

 To apply  for a Library Card please stop by the library with two proof of residence ID’s during library hours.

          The  Maple Park Public Library District will provide access to information services via a variety of formats for use by the residents of the Village of Maple Park and its surrounding areas.
